1 brutal truth every entrepreneur needs to hear
If you want to reach your goals as quick as possible, you need to tell 99% of people to kindly fuck off.
Trust me as a people pleaser this is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Even as a “new” entrepreneur - there’s this burning desire to say yes to every opportunity.
But since August, I’ve been saying “no” or “fuck off” to nearly everything.
Distractions disguise themselves as opportunities.
You know that crazy new idea, a shiny project, or a tempting offer.
It feels urgent and important. But is it?
During launch and the prep for it, multiple opportunities came my way.
$10,000 deal to partner with a brand
Hot leads wanting me to do 1:1 work with them
People giving me their professional insight and ideas
I said no to all of that, multiple times.
Because just because it sounds good it doesn’t mean its worth my time.
And this is exactly the same for you.
Lara’s F-Off Razor:
Look, I’ve become quite ruthless when it comes to my peace and time.
I realised that I don’t have to do anything I don’t want to do.
And whenever I feel torn, I look at 3 things.
Does this align with the goals I wrote down?
Does the person giving me advice have more experience?
Will this save me time AND make me more money?
If the answer is no to any of them I scrap it.
Plans should be simple, you add complexity as you iterate.
But if you haven’t done the simple part first - don’t add anything else.
Remember: Everytime you say yes to something, you’re saying no to something else.
That’s literally it ladies and gents.
What are you saying “No” to this Q4? Reply to this email and tell me!
