Bitcoin hit $100k, here's what it taught me about B2B Marketing

1. Buy high sell low

I’ve crossed multiple 6 figures for the tiny online business I started in my childhood bedroom during the pandemic next year.

But what If i told you a big part of it was crypto?

And no I don’t mean I’m using my crypto earnings to boost up my earnings because quite frankly I’ve lost access to every single wallet I’ve ever had.

But because in 2021 during the memecoin boom, I tried to invest into crypto for the first time.

I got rug-pulled.
I didn’t know what I was doing.
I made like no profit too

BUT… I learned the most valuable skill that my 2 Degrees could have never taught me.

Community building.

Which then led me to build 2 businesses and a 200k follower personal brand off the back of the simple lesson of curating an experience so human that the internet wasn’t a barrier, it was a bridge.

While everyone was socially distanced, the internet-connected nerds all around the world.

I love this topic because it’s so dumb to me but it has been so pivotal to my growth that I honestly need to talk about it.

Look, with the aim to provide you with a break from the multiple Black Friday Emails you got delivered (99% of them being mine sorry love you and thank you)…

I made a whole YouTube video on this a few months ago, and since this is trending again - I hope you give it a watch.

As random as it sounds crypto changed my life in many ways (just don’t ask me about my trading strategy cos I had no idea what I was doing).

There’s too many of the “same” LinkedIn strategies to grow your brand and business, but these ones I covered barely get any recognition.

Nothing about hooks, or engagement or even lead generation - but all rooted in community building that turns strangers into fans.

Here’s the breakdown so you know I’m not delirious right now:

  1. Accessibility: Make complex information simple.

  2. Storytelling: The easiest way to retain information

  3. Identity capital: Don't be perfect, be interesting

  4. Community: To start a movement, you need people

  5. Market timing: Understand market trends

I learned a lot from the dogecoin frenzy, and I hope you can learn something too.

If not, at least a good laugh.

THIS IS NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE.
YES MY NEXT EMAIL WILL BE VALUE PACKED.

Love you.

See you next week.

PS: I’m giggling so much writing this cos it’s so silly - I’ve been so ill this week I barely laughed. I hope you find as much amusement to this as I am honestly!
