Discipline, Dopamine & Doing the Work

5 years ago while I was struggling with depression, I came across this quote.

“You must break the pattern today or the loop will repeat tomorrow” - and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since.

See, the person that you are right now that perhaps…

Isn’t as productive.
Isn’t as successful.
Isn’t as consistent.

Already exists - but you don’t need more motivation.

And this is the problem, we “think” that we need to be motivated to become the ideal version of ourselves - but in reality…

You just need the right systems.

As a type B person - motivation doesn’t go far.

Having plans in place for whenever I’m about to sabotage myself and stop an important task to do something else or give up.

I didn’t come up with these myself, I learned them from highly intelligent women who are mothers, daughters and incredibly successful entrepreneurs.
