I'm doing the 1 thing I promised I'd never do.
got energy?
When I was a freelancer, I saw people get distracted.
Invested in businesses.
Co-founded 2 more with friends.
Posted on multiple social media platforms.
To me, it felt like a cardinal sin, a shiny object.
Because honestly, it is when you’re a beginner.
If you’re investing in a business but you’re not investing on yourself first, you shoulnd’t be investing in someone else’s dream.
If you’re co-founding a business with friends but haven’t yet mastered your own skill, then your value is incredibly low, and so will your payout.
If you’re posting on multiple platforms but haven’t even hacked 1 for consistent virality and lead gen then your results will consistently be average.
And my friend, average is the enemy.
This month, I broke my own rule.
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m so excited to announce that I am now an angel investor and shareholder in Neutonic my favorite energy drink.

If you’ve followed me on Instagram or come to the calls inside Literally Academy for a while you’ll likely find me with a can (or 2) by my side.
And so when the opportunity to become an investor I had to hop in.

I don’t know anything about investing.
Even less about all the nuances behind it.
But I know the one quote that consistently runs through my mind.
Products are easy, but distribution is hard.
The drinks company is an incredibly saturated space.
But neutonic found a way to dig a hole in a seemingly untapped market.
The entrepreneurs who aren’t athletes but work like them.
When the drink came out I rushed to drink it because productivity is the no.1 thing I seek on a daily basis and caffeine is usually part of that.
I believe in the product as a consumer.
And as an entrepreneur, I believe in the founders.
One of the other investors sent me this earlier on how he replied to the pitch deck.

Truth be told, anyone could’ve made a ‘neutonic’ style drink.
In fact, there are multiple in the market.
But as a fan of modern wisdom (Chris’ podcast one of the founders) I truly believe in his ability to market a product, given that that’s how I found my way to having a weekly subscription to them.
So last month, I signed the papers and wired a transfer.
Now I guess I can cancel my weekly subscription, since part of the deal is free neutonic (girlmath).
Also for further context, for those interested to actually understand the other side beyond my girlmath. A big part of the decision making came from how Poppi sold to Pepsi earlier this year for a BILLION. Yes with a B!

Something is happening to the industry as genz drink less and focus on health more and the shift in marketing, trends and influencer behaviour changes.
I’ve been observing it from a far, 1+1 = neutonic
Breaking my own rules
It’s not because I’ve lost focus.
But because I've outgrown the rules I set for myself.
I'm no longer just a LinkedIn creator.
Not just "no.1 influencer".
I'm an entrepreneur.
I'm an international speaker.
And now an investor.
So here's a reminder to those who are me from 3 years ago...
Set yourself rules until you outgrow them.
Focus on 1 goal and let that goal shape you into the best version of yourself.
It will open doors you didn't even see.
Proud to have been part of the initial round.
I get to be next to some of my favorite entrepreneurs like Daniel Priestley, Chris Donnelly, Codie Sanchez and so on in this new journey and hopefully get to build connections with them in the future.
But for now, my friends, here’s the reveal to one of the many companies I’m investing into this year.
Second one will be revealed soon…
Many of you already know.
But official announcement coming soon..
This one is HUGE for me.
Been in the works for 3 years.

peep neutonic In the back hehe
