Mistake #4 that keeps people from growing to 10,000 followers and earning $10,000/mo

This is a 5 part series on mistakes people make when trying to grow and monetize their personal brands on LinkedIn. Click here for part 1 , part 2 and part 3.

You know what pisses me off? Seeing talented entrepreneurs or creators write awful content on LinkedIn.

They’ve got decades of experience in their niche
They’ve helped tens if not hundreds of people with their services
They’ve most likely changed lives with their advice

Some may even have exited their businesses for millions of dollars.
Most probably have a Forbes 30u30 title or similar.

The expertise, the skill, the customer experience is all excellent..

But their Linkedin doesn’t show it, not one bit.

Their inability to adjust and adapt their knowledge to the platform makes them miss out on LinkedIn's untapped potential.

Mistake #4: Elite expertise, average execution.

I take this one incredibly personally.

Because there are people who have less experience and a lower quality product or service than you appearing as the ‘top’ in your industry.

All because they know how to write for Linkedin.

This one hurts, and it’s also how I’ve gotten people like Tom to take LinkedIn seriously.
He has all the experience, all the social proof, and all the results in the world to share.

Tom’s blown up his Linkedin to 145,000 followers because he cracked the LinkedIn writing code.

It’s simple really, let me show you:

The architecture of a winning post for founders and creators

Writing on LinkedIn isn’t just about how much you know.
Its about how you can get someone to care about what you know.

  • Use immediate social proof in your hook

  • Use single lines to make it easy to read (and keep reading)

  • Use benefits instead of features to increase perceived value

You need to treat every post like an AD, not just a thought.

Get someone to buy into what you’re writing about, every time.

Your personal brand is your 24/7 sales rep, and you need to equip it with the right assets (your content) for it to sell.
