content so good it should be illegal

2 years ago I wrote a post inspired by another post I saw on LinkedIn.

It outperformed this person's posts, and she said it was plagiarism and was gonna sue me.

Messaged everyone who commented on my post saying it was against the law for me to dare talking about the same trending topic as her.

I was like “damn that’s crazy” and moved on.

Point being here is that social media (and even other people) make you obsess over originality and aUtHeNtIcItY so much that you don’t want to post.

Ideas, concepts, hooks and templates are all up for grabs.

Just like susan sue didn’t own the trademark to the idea, and how speaking English doesn’t mean you’re copying someone - content ideas and styles also don’t belong to anyone.

My point here: just because someone’s posted something it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t.

How To Write Content So GOOD It Feels Illegal

1. Go on your phone

2. Scroll through your feed

3. Look at what catches your attention

4. Study the triggers and words used

4. Learn how to write MAGNETICALLY

Always show, don’t tell:

Look at content that worked, and add your own take to a similar experience you had (it looks 10x better too)

Magnetic content is one of the most important things you could do as an entrepreneur, creator and founder.

It’s what’s making you read this email.

So if you want to learn how to:

  • Master 'Rule of One' for magnetic writing.

  • Make your content sexy and irresistible

  • Learn how to be cool like me online ;)

Magnetic content is one of the most important things you could do as an entrepreneur, creator and founder.

It’s also the simplest way to grow an audience without any other types of leverage such as connections, experience or money.

This is a cool resource by my cool friend Kieran, he’s kind of a big deal.

Kieran Drew left his job as a dentist to write online; today, he has an audience of nearly 300k on Twitter and 28k newsletter subscribers writing his way from 0 - $500k as a solopreneur. All done through his unique writing and insane ~magnetism~

5.Do this every single day for 30 minutes

6. Emulate it onto your content daily

How to Not Get Sued From Your Fire Content

“When you copy from one person is plagiarism, when you copy from 100 it’s original”

I without a doubt think that copying other people is the best way to start and win quickly.

Like if someone is gaining 10k followers a month with their strategy or making 100k a month - even if you make 10% of that by using their “Strategy” you’re already better than what you were a month ago.

The key here is “emulation”

Imitation is about copying. Emulation is when imitation goes one step further, breaking through into your own thing - Austin Kleon

Just like me and susan sue’s post.

I liked her concept, I copied it but did it better (and many other posts with a similar concept).

No one owns social media post ideas.

  • Learn how to write well and optimise for mobile.

  • Use Kieran’s tips

  • Win while everyone hates

Don’t get stuck trying to be so different that you remain being the same 🫳🏼🎤

*Not Legal Advice pls

That’s literally it my bestie cakes.

No one can sue you unless you like copy paste and plagiarize fully (don’t do that pls)

Be inspired.

Lots of love x
