Why I have a picture of Gary Vee framed in my living room

I’m sitting on the couch writing these emails and right in front of me there he is, Mr Gary Vee smiling at me.

Have had his photo framed for 3 years, and carried it with me from my childhood room in Mexico, to my university dorm room to now my first flat in London.

Honestly, it doesn’t even fit in my flat anymore but it’s a reminder of how far I’ve come.

It catapulted me into a B2B rabbit hole where I realized LinkedIn wasn’t just B2B, it wasn’t B2C either.

It was H2H (Human to Human) ♥️

Like I said on my email yesterday, my first ever LinkedIn post made no sense.
It was badly written, it had a photo I hated and I nearly didn’t post it.

Wasn’t trying to sell anything, didn’t even know what I was doing on the platform.

It was raw and honest, in a world where I thought I had to be all perfect and put together.

Turns out, I didn’t.

The 1 thing I did know? I wanted to share my story.

And from it - I built the “dream” most people accuse Gary Vee of falsely selling.

Because instead of trying to build a business, I focused on building an audience first.

One that liked me, trusted me and knew me from my content.
I spent my first few months on LinkedIn not selling anything at all.

Created content that made me happy instead.

Which in the long-term has led me to the most insane opportunities.

Building a successful personal branding agency
Networking with the 0.0001% of the industry
Traveling the world with my parents
